Equipment Management App
Torgix for iPhone and Android is the field half of the platform. Scan a tag and the machine opens. Check it out and the location is stamped on the record. Run the inspection where the equipment is, instead of writing it up later from memory.
Free to install. Included with Torgix, with unlimited users at every tier.
Most equipment software assumes someone will type it up later. The details that decide what a machine really costs are the ones that get lost between the yard and the office: which machine, where it went, what the meter read, what was wrong with it. Six things in the Torgix app exist only because the phone is already in the hand of the person who knows.
The round scan button sits at the bottom right of every screen. Point it at a Torgix tag and the app opens that machine. No searching a list of a thousand units for the one you are standing next to.
Open an asset, tap Edit, then Scan beside the VIN field. The camera reads the barcode VIN off the machine ID plate and fills it in, instead of someone squinting at a greasy plate and transposing two digits.
Complete a check-out and the device position is attached to the record, so you know where a machine was when it left the yard. Location is read at that moment only, never in the background.
Run the inspection standing at the equipment, with photos attached to the fault as you find it. A defect logged where it was seen beats a defect remembered at five o'clock.
Turn it on once and the app unlocks with the device biometric instead of a password and a two-factor code. Lose the phone and an administrator revokes that device in about a minute.
The app schedules a local notification for anything still checked out after three days, so tools stop quietly disappearing onto jobs nobody remembers sending them to.
Equipment lives where coverage is worst: basements, quarries, tunnels, the back of a yard behind forty feet of steel. Torgix is a live platform, so with no connection at all there is nothing to load. What the app does fix is the common case: the page is already open, the crew fills it in, and the signal dies before submit.
Complete a check-out or check-in with no connection and the entry is held on the device. You will see "No signal. Saved on this device, it will send automatically when you are back online", and later "Sent 1 entry that had been saved on this device." Nobody has to remember to re-enter it, and if the first attempt did reach the server the replay is rejected harmlessly rather than creating a duplicate.
This is deliberately limited to check-out and check-in today, because those two are safe to replay. Queuing every form in the product would mean silently retrying things that should never be retried automatically.
The app is not a cut-down version with a handful of features. It is the same account, the same fleet, the same records, shaped for a different moment.
Both halves are included. Pricing is by fleet size with unlimited users at every tier, so putting every mechanic and operator on a phone costs nothing extra. See pricing.
There is no separate signup. Users do not create accounts in the app; an administrator provisions them in Torgix and they sign in with those credentials.
